Lesson 16.4

While they practise a progression of a given lesson in all 12 keys, students recite vocalisations that are comprised of the terminology of relative harmony. When they recite chord IV, they play, see and hear chord IV, regardless of the key, and regardless of the progression. This provides students with an analytical foundation for memorisation.

Lesson 11.1

Each lesson prepares students for the following lesson, and consolidates patterns that have already been introduced. By the end of the course, students are playing long and rather complicated progressions in all 12 major keys (or in some cases in all 12 minor keys).

Lesson 14.1

When students begin a new lesson, they listen, and use a process of elimination, to find the notes on the keyboard that they are seeking. Even the most visual learners soon find that it is easier to look down at the hands, using the ears as a guide.
